Elementary and secondary students from the Wellington Catholic District School Board competed at the Skills Ontario Competition on May 6thand 7thin Toronto.

Students competed in Lego Robotics, Lego Mechanics, VEX Robotics, Hairstyling, Graphic Design Studio Production, Health and Safety, TV Video, Construction, Technology, and Green Energy at the country’s largest trades and technologies competition.

Owen Bright, Nico Vlaeriote, Jacob Martin and Devin Detweiler from St. Mary Catholic School in Elora worked tirelessly under the leadership of their Teacher, Erin Wettlaufer and earned a silver medal in Lego Mechanics.

As for secondary students, Elisha Levak from Bishop Macdonell went home with a gold medal in Graphic Design Studio Production. Levak will advance to the national competition representing team Ontario in Nova Scotia later this month.
