Students from St. Raphael Catholic school in Burlington were in the spirit of giving back throughout the Lenten season. Throughout the month of April, students from all grades brought in non-perishable food items that were most needed by St. Raphael’s Church.
On April 10th, students worked together in faith to collect, sort, and pack the food items. Members from the student council delivered the non-perishables and worked with volunteers from the church to replenish the pantry and sort items for the families within the community.
“My family likes to contribute to the food drive because it makes us feel good when we can help others,” said Grade 4 student, Natalie Cafuta.
Although St. Raphael may be a smaller school, the holy spirit within them is surely large! They collected 567 items.
Thank you to the St. Raphael community, students and families for their continued support during the Lenten season.
