Cardinal Newman Secondary School students got into the Christmas spirit when they performed at the 62nd annual Stoney Creek Santa Claus Parade.
The competitive dance team and students from the dance class at Cardinal Newman Secondary School performed a special Christmas-themed choreographed dance at the local parade to help spread the holiday cheer.
“The parade is a great opportunity to share the joy of Christmas with our Stoney Creek community,” said Cardinal Newman dance teacher Andrea Ferroni. “Dance and music have a powerful way of uniting everyone and the dancers did a fantastic job capturing the attention of the spectators both young and old.”
The Cardinal Newman dancers were joined by the Jr. Feeder School dance team as they shared their love of dance with their community and represented the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board.
“It is not an easy task, particularly during such cold temperatures but the CN dancers made Newman and the community proud,” said Ferroni.
The Stoney Creek Santa Claus parade drew a crowd of about 15,000 people and featured about 75 bands, floats and groups.
Please join us in thank Cardinal Newman Secondary School students for spreading holiday cheer this Christmas season.
