Rosina Ariganello works every day to build a school environment where students and teachers can thrive.
graduate of Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board, Rosina has been the principal at St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School in Brampton for the past three years. She works directly with her staff and students to help provide innovative educational experiences, such as building the school’s first outdoor classroom.
“Our school is fortunate to have such a dynamic individual who encourages everyone to be the best they can be,” said Olivia Novak, teacher at St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School. “She is a faith filled, caring, understanding and overall joy to be around.”
Over the past two years Rosina has worked with a select group of students to build the first outdoor classroom at St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School. The commitment from Rosina and her students helped them achieve Platinum status in Ontario EcoSchools, the highest certificate a school can receive for commitment to environmental learning and action.
Rosina ensures she knows her colleagues and students on a first name basis, continuously thanking them for everything they do, and always being there to lend a helping hand when needed.
