One lucky staff member from the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board (PVNCCDSB) will be switching jobs for a day with Director of Education Michael Nasello to help raise money for the United Way.

The annual ‘Put Your Director to Work Day’ will be taking place for the second year in a row. Raffle tickets will be sold to staff members who are hoping to get a paid day off and kick up their feet while Nasello rolls up his sleeves and steps in to fill their shoes.

“Every year we support the United Way’s mission to empower some of our communities’ most vulnerable people and fund important social services that some of our students and their families rely on,” said Michael Nasello, Director of Education at PVNCCDSB. “This raffle is also a great opportunity to recognize the important roles all of our staff play each day in ensuring our students are given every opportunity to succeed.”

All proceeds from the raffle will be going to the United Way. Last year PVNCCDSB raised a total of $1,485 and Nasello filled the role of an educational assistant for the day at St. Paul Catholic Elementary School in Lakefield, Ontario.

Working together to fundraise for vital charities is one of the many ways Ontario’s Catholic schools help advance local communities.
