MPP Cristina Martins visited St. Clare Catholic School on Monday, November 28, 2016 with The Tour for Humanity, teaching students how to raise their voices against intolerance.

Presented by Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies, The Tour for Humanity is a mobile classroom that educates students in an interactive environment.

Stopping in at many Toronto Catholic District School Board sites, the tour inspires and empowers students to help make the world a better place.

The Davenport Bus tour was specially tailored to focus on the story of Portuguese Hero, Aristides de Sousa Mendes. As a member of the Portuguese community, MPP Martins wanted to feature Aristides de Sousa Mendes’ story as an example of one of the many voices in history that spoke up against hate and intolerance.

The Tour of Humanity is one example of how we provide unique education opportunities that instil our core values – creating responsible citizens, caring family members and collaborative contributors to the common good of society.

Thank you to MPP Cristina Martins for enriching the lives of our students.
