“When there is a seamless merge between technology and learning, students benefit from a new level playing field and a realm of limitless possibilities.”

Colleen and Maureen are teachers at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Elementary School, which has recently been named a Microsoft Showcase School for the use of digital technology to enhance classroom teachings. The two teachers have attended Microsoft Camp21 for the past two summers to learn and explore different digital tools like Skype in the Classroom and OneNote.

Ontario Catholic schools consistently meet or exceed provincial expectations in student achievement, program delivery, class size and character development. Teachers like Colleen and Maureen are making all the difference, as they are dedicated to giving their students the best learning experience possible. They are using digital tools to teach their students about different cultures around the world and to learn valuable lessons of inclusiveness, respect and humility.
